Drake Hill Road Bridge, also known as the Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge,〔(Official Simsbury, CT Website ), Retrieved June 27, 2015.〕 is a bridge in Simsbury, Connecticut, originally carrying Drake Hill Road over the Farmington River. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is a single-span, pin-connected Parker truss constructed in 1892 with wrought iron, cast iron and steel. One of only three surviving Parker trusses in Connecticut, the Drake Hill Road Bridge rests on brownstone abutments and carries a 12 foot roadway for a span of 183 feet.〔 and (''Accompanying photos, exterior and interior, from 1983'' )〕 The bridge originally carried vehicle traffic, but was decommissioned from that use in 1992 after the completion of a new, two-lane bridge located just a few hundred feet downstream to the north. The Drake Hill Road Bridge is now open strictly for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.〔 ==See also==
